What kind of services does American Garage Doors offer?

At American Garage Doors we offer installations and cash-and-carry sales of both residential and commercial garage doors and garage door openers. We offer repair service and emergency repair service on all brands of residential and commercial garage doors and garage door openers. We also sell and install residential entry doors.

What kind of experience do the servicemen have?

All of our servicemen have a minimum of 3 years experience in garage door repairs and installations. All are professionally attired, conduct themselves in a gentlemanly manner while working at your home, call when on their way to your home and arrive in marked vehicles.

What cities and towns does American Garage Doors cover?

American Garage Doors covers all of Erie County and parts of Niagara County, including, but not limited to, Alden, Amherst, Blasdell, Boston, Buffalo, Cheetowaga, Clarence, Clarence Center, Depew, Derby, East Aurora, Eden, Eggertsville, Elma, Getzville, Grand Island, Hamburg, Kenmore, Lackawanna, Lakeview, Lancaster, Marilla, North Tonawanda, Orchard Park, Snyder, Springville, Tonawanda, West Seneca, and Williamsville. For areas outside this range, please call our office at 823-3422 to see if we can work out exceptions.

Where is your showroom located?

The American Garage Doors showroom is centrally located at the corner of Ridge Rd. and Orchard Ave. in Lackawanna, minutes from the New York State Thruway, Route 5 or Route 62. Our showroom hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm and Saturdays, 9am - 1pm. Please call 823-3422 if you need to try and set up an after hours appointment.

How can I schedule an estimate?

Simply call our office at 823-3422 and speak to Shannon or Dave to set up an appointment for a free estimate for a new garage door or opener.

How much does an estimate cost?

At American Garage Doors an estimate for a new door or opener is free. Free estimates are not given for repair service calls, however our serviceman will give you an estimate for the cost of the repair up front before he begins any work.

How long do I have to wait for an estimator to come to my home or business?

Often we can get an estimator out to your home or business the very same day. This not always the case, but it will never be more than 2 days but always at your convenience.

Does American Garage Doors charge by the hour for residential service calls?

Absolutely not. Our serviceman will inspect the door for the problem as well as any other issues and tell you the price up front including the service/labor charge and parts charges. We use a flat rate for our service/labor charge for residential repair services.

How long do I have to wait for a serviceman to come to my home or business?

We will often be able to be there the same day. This cannot always be the case, but we will be there no later than 24 hours. We take pride in our ability to fix your door when you need it fixed.

The recommendation that American Garage Doors will always make to customers is the door that best fits your application, decor and budget. We will never try to "push" a higher priced door for an application that doesn't need it. We offer everything from non-insulated galvanized steel doors to high R-value insulated doors in a wide variety of colors, styles and window options. How long does a residential installation take?

Every installation application is different so the time varies but standard single car door takes approximately 2 hours and a double car door takes approximately 3 hours.

Yes. American Garage Doors stocks the most popular non-insulated and insulated white doors in both standard single car and double car door sizes.

Can I special order a custom residential door?

Yes. Since American Garage Doors offers so many different size, color, style and window options we absolutely have a special order program to meet all of our customers' needs.

How long does a residential special order take to arrive and be installed?

At American Garage Doors we place an order for doors every week. Delivery time is approximately 2 weeks. We will make an installation appointment when you place the order to ensure your door will be installed within days of its arrival at our warehouse. Also, our office will call after the doors arrival at our warehouse to confirm the scheduled installation time still fits your schedule.

Is there an additional charge for colors or windows?

There is no additional charge for door colors but not all doors are available in all colors. Please contact Shannon at 823-3422 if you have questions regarding door color options. There is an additional charge for windows in the doors completely dependent on the number of windows and window style chosen.

How long does a commercial door take to arrive and be installed?

The lead time on commercial doors is a little longer than residential doors as the manufacturer has to make the door to your specifications. Lead time for the door to be delivered is approximately 3 weeks after you have placed the order. We will set up a tentative installation date and time when you place your order so that we can install it as soon as possible after it is delivered.

There are very few color options on commercial doors but there is no additional charge for colors. There is an additional charge for window options.
